What should I do about a water leak we have?

The bathroom is off of our bedroom and our floor started getting wet. Right by the bathroom door is soaked and its getting worse fast! When you step down on the carpet the water comes up between your toes and its spreading! We don’t have the money to fix it and I don’t know what to do, we don’t want to shut the water off to the entire house. By the way we live in a manufactured double wide.

Answer #1

Okay we fixed it! Thank you everyone for your advise. We ended up tearing out the carpet, and going to put wood flooring in now… when we can afford it! And all it needed was a little gooky stuff and a new faucet.

Answer #2

shut the water off, find where in the bathroom or pipe to the bathroom that the individual shut off valve is, shut that off, turn the main back on. Plumbing problems suck, but that could already be a lot of damage right there.

Answer #3

You have to turn off the water and fix the leak. There should be a shut off vavle somewhere on the pipes in the bathroom. If not then use the main shut off for the house. The floor in a manufatured home is not built to withstand any water damage. You may find that even after the leak is fixed and the floor drys that the floor becomes spongy and sinks when you step on it. If that happens then you will have to cut out that section of floor and replace it with new wood before it caves in and you fall through. It is also very important to get the carpet dry ASAP so that mold does not grow.

Answer #4

You have to close the central supply of water and call a plumber.

Answer #5

I don’t know just tighten the pipes or get that clay that covers and stops leeks I don’t know
