my best friend from first grade now to middle school is starting to change she is swearing , like telling me to shut up and other things, and flirting with other friends boy friends she dates guys from 11 grade, 10 grade, 9 grade, and 8 grade but not our grade (7) she is stuck up because she thinks she is populer and is the hotest girl in school now im not her size but still she has changed soo much so should I tell her or stop talking till she sees im mad at her because its not that shes always mean and I still want to be her friend but not best friends. what do I do?

Answer #1

We rarely have the friends when we grow up that we have in 7th grade. I know, it’s sad, but true. People grow apart, they change, and not for the better sometimes. Find people who act like you do, and have fun. Once she sees how much fun you are having, she might just shape up. If not, then at least you have your other friends.

Answer #2

People grow apart and change, especially at that age. Find more friends and stop thinking about her. She may come back, she may not.

Answer #3

first of all, if she is in the 7th grade and dating guys in high school, you shouldn’t be around her. that’s going to lead trouble, and a bad reputation. as far as flirting with unavailble guys and thinking she is the hottest girl in school is part of being insecure. She’s fishing for compliments and wants people to think she’s perfect. Don’t cut her off. tell her how you feel, you may have to write her a note b/c she will get upset and defensive. if your friendship means that much to you just give her time.
