I’m writing an essay on World War I. I have the entire thing done, except a beging paragraph with a good thesis. Need ideas!

Answer #1

What does your essay say? Your thesis should be fleshed out it your essay, so since its done, can’t you summarize your point and turn that into your opening? If not, then you should make sure your essay actually has a point its getting at.

Answer #2

Uhm, you havent told us what you’re writing about? It’s a little hard to come up with an opening paragraph without knowing what the topic is? And world war 1 is a little big, you can write several books on it, what exactly have you written about it?

Answer #3

Talk about how WW1 was started and why, once near the end of the paragraph, start talking a little about what’s in the paragraphs to come. That’s how I sometimes start my essays and my teachers say I’m the only one to get a straight A+ on them, that’s how I passed 10th grade.
