What's a good hairstyle to go with my dress?

I’m going to my boyfriend’s prom this year and I want to look really good. My dress is a strapless. It’s a sweetheart top and I have a gorgeous necklace to wear with it. I just don’t know if I should wear my hair down, or have like a pretty up-do. Does anyone have any suggestions? And my hair is goes past my shoulders about an inch. So it isn’t short, but it isn’t long.

whatever you do, dont do it half up and half down, it’s pretty white trash.

I dropped out of cosmetology school. like two weeks before graduation. hahaha

I think a low, surled side pony would be awesome! it will draw the eye from your face down to your jewelry and your dress.

I did and updo on a client that had about a half inch longer than shoulder length hair. I put some product in her hair (rusk being warped, and some redken outshine) back combed her entire head, smoothed it down into a low side pony tail finished with rusk hairspray and rekens vinyl glam. then did hollywood curls with redken hotsets on the hair in her pony tail, pulled out a piece to wrap around where the pins were and pinned that up underneath the pony, finished with a few spritzes of vinyl glam. it was pretty and simple. try something like that, it’s something you could do on your own! and remember day old dirty hair styles better than clean hair! so dont wash your hair the day of prom, just wear a shower cap and wash everything else!

copy and paste this into your address bar, it’s a longer version of what I’m saying

Yes I would have to say curls to with your hair down, but there are many styles pic one out of a dolly, cleo, girlfriend, cosmopolitan (best choice) magazine and consult your local hairdresser for there input and if they are able to give you the style you need…

consult with a stylist. a discription of your hair is nothing like seeing and feeling it. pick out a couple styles in a hair magazine and discuss with a professional which will suit you best. I’m sure you will look gorgeous, whatever you decide.
