What's a 403 Forbidden

I was uploading my page to my website using Fling. It said it was successful but when I went to my website I got a Forbidden 403 page instead of the page I successfully uploaded. What’s up with that???? I am using Windows XP home with firefox browser. I used Googles Blogger with the beta scratched out to create the page. I tried to upload with them but that was really weird. I think there are a few glitches there that need to be worked out yet. Help!

Typically, a 403 forbidden error results from uploading a page such as “mypage.html” instead of “index.html” for the web site in question. More than 70% of the web servers out there run Apache, which is an open source web server. The application is set to look for index.html or index.htm as default files, and then if those are not found, the application returns a 403 forbidden error.

Try changing the name of your file to index.html & see if that solves the problem. If not, post another question & we’ll help keep trying till we get it right :)
