1790s - 1836 HALF CENTS- liberty cap, right facing liberty cap, draped bust, classic head draped bust type. LARGE CENTS- flowing hair w/chain reverse, flowing hair w/ wreath reverse, liberty cap, draped bust , classic head, coronet type. HALF DIMES- flowing hair, draped bust w/ small eagle reverse, draped bust w/ heraldic eagle reverse, capped bust . DIMES- draped bust w/small eagle reverse, draped bust w/heraldic eagle reverse, capped bust. QUARTERS- draped bust w/ small eagle reverse, draped bust w/ heraldic eagle reverse, capped bust. HALF DOLLARS- flowing hair, draped bust w/ small eagle reverse, draped bust w/ heraldic eagle reverse, capped bust. SILVER DOLLARS- flowing hair, draped bust w/ small eagle reverse, draped bust w/ heraldic eagle reverse, QUARTER EAGLES (2.50)- capped bust, capped bust to left. (STELLA) 4.00 GOLD HALF EAGLES (5.00)- capped bust facing right, capped bust facing left EAGLES (10.00) - capped bust facing right w/ small eagle, capped bust to right w/ heraldic eagle. I would imagine that the spanish coins (gold and silver) were being circulated here as well during that time. the colonies also made their own coinage- n.e. shillings, pine tree and oak shillings, pine tree sixpence and threepence, and a handfull of cents and half cents from massachusetts, vermont, new jersey, connecticut, and virginia.

I think that was around the 17 - 1800’s…so, mainly gold and silver coins, but tobacco was also used as a form of currency
