What kind of cable do I need to connect my desktop to my LCDTV?

If your computer will accept a card that outputs s-video..you can buy an rf modulator at radio shack that will turn this output into channel 3 or 4 (you select the one that is not being used in your area) the output (coax like cable tv) goes into your tv antenna input, and the antenna cable goes into the radio shack box. When you watch regular tv it works normally - when you select the unused channel (3 or 4) your tv receives the conputer feed, along with the audio. RPG is a rocket propelled Grenade - I hope you mean rgb which is the left, right, audio, and the video carrier on rca jacks…if so this goes right into a vcr input, and comes out on 3 or 4 just like the radio shack rf modulator does. Ifyou have this…just buy a used vcr at a thrift store for about 5 to 15 bucks…and it will work fine.

I know that, but my tv doesn’t have that connection: it has an RPG PC connection, which requires a cable similar to the one that conncets my monitor to my computer. Next, I can not just go buy any VGA card, simply because not many are compatible with my computer ( a Gateway). The only one that Gateway says is compatible with the computer costs around $150. Even if they were compatible with my computer, my television still would not have the right jack to connect the cable(s).
