What is chemosynthesis and photosynthesis?

Photosynthesis: The process photosynthetic organisms undergo to create ‘’fuel’’ (ATP). ATP is made during cellular reparation from sugar, which is produced by using energy from the sun. (Sugar to ATP is made in the Krebs cycle).

Chemosynthesis: The process certain microbes undergo to create energy by mediating chemical reactions. These chemicals are released from (hydrothermal) vents, and the microbes absorb the fluids (hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, and oxygen) released from the vents. The chemicals are then broken down, and by using this energy, they convert it into sugars. Then the microbes will release the unwanted chemicals and water.
