How much money do you have? Unfortunately I can’t give you an information on the prices in your country, I suggest phoning your local pet shop to find out. In any case I would suggest a cockatiel. (make sure if you google it you check the spelling).

And can I get some advice on how to take care of him or her?

Cockatiels are easy to handle, just make sure you get it from a bird farm or reputable breeder. The get along with everyone in the family, they can speak as well (not as much as the African grey or cockatoo). Cockatiels mainly eats seeds and you need to make sure it has clean water. They are not fuzzy eaters.

I’m looking for • a good one for first timers: This is definitely a good one, they are small, cute and very easy to train.

• one that can say at least hello and his name: Also meets the requirements

• one that is cheap: GENERALLY they are very cheap. I suppose it does depend on your country.

• one that might like people: They love people and usually crave different social contacts. So you can get anyone to handle them. Also they usually do not bite and are great with children.

please give me some tips on caring for it and tell me about how much it would cost. Also tell me some characteristics and what it does and doesn’t like.

See above, I posted it there. We’ve had a few over the years. Really friendly and patient birds.
