I dont think its mentally possible to fail GCSE , but yea passing grades at H level range from A*- E and foundation level from C-E I think
I think A*- C are passes.

There are eight GCSE pass grades, ranging from A* to G.
A*-G is Passing
A*-C is the Equlivant Grades for School League tables when you get 5 and it helps with college if your their for 2 years or 3
Unfortunatly I went to a school where the Head techer came in Year 8 and Only cared about the Tables so I Kind of got Left behind and I got 1 B 1C and the rest was D or below
grade A* TO C IS A PASS WHICH WILL ALOW YOU TO TAKE YOUR A LEVELS D TO G WILL ALLOW you TO DO LEVEL 2 BETEC OR SOME OTHER COURSE REALLY. BY THE WAY IF YOU WANT TO GO UNIVERSITY THEN YOU WILL NEED TO DO A LEVELS.
