what does interfaith dialogue mean?

hey guyz, can you please give a detailed description of what is meant by the term ‘interfaith dialogue’. Its for church and we were given sheets with questions and this is one of them but I dont know the answer can you please help…

Answer #1

I believe that inter is a prefix meaning ‘outside of’ as in an ‘interstate’ would be roads that connect past your borders, whereas:

‘intrastate’ - prefix meaning ‘within or inside’ - so an intrastate road would be one that does not go beyond the states borders.

Answer #2

*[“What does ‘inter-faith dialogue’ mean?”]

*It means the COMPROMISING of your belief system in order to “get along” with others of another belief system…despite the fact that it might be a false belief system and opposed to yours. True Christians do not engage in “inter-faith dialogue.”

Answer #3

“The terms interfaith or interfaith dialogue refer to cooperative and positive interaction between people of different religious traditions ( ie. “faiths” ) and spiritual or humanistic beliefs, at both the individual and institutional level with the aim of deriving a common ground in belief through a concentration on similarities between faiths, understanding of values, and commitment to the world.”
