What do you do when your kids have to go to the hospital?

suck it up and go. and you stay with them as long as you can. and you distract them with stupid stories and songs and rhyming games or whatever you have to to keep their little hurting selves from realizing what a scary place they are in.

Explain to them, why they are there and make it as easy as possible for them. Don’t scare them.

Preferably, you go with them and help them deal with it.

My FIRST trip to the hospital for one of my kids involved a broken arm. He was our only child at the time, so we were both able to be with him the entire time.
