What do I do, I want my ex but he doesnt want me?

Okay so me and my ex are great friends. We are there for each other, etc. When I broke up with one of my boyfriend I felt the urge to talk to my ex more. (by the way his name is john) so John has a girl but I realized I still have feelings for him. I straight up told him but he only wants to be friends. I know I should try to forget him and keep our friendship but in reality I still like him. what should I do? Oh and it always seems that he trys to make me jealous and always talks about his girl…is he doing this on purpose? does he still like me but denying it? any advice?

No, he is not trying to make you jealous. He is trying to talk about his life with his friend. He quite clearly wants to keep things on a strictly platonic level, and you quite clearly are not able to do that. So forever29 is absolutely right – the more you hang around with him, the more damage you’re going to do to any potential future friendship you could have with him. For now, cut off contact until your feelings have a chance to move on to someone more appropriate.

I was in the same boat as you last year with a guy named john haha. Since you have told him that you still have feelings for him, there is not much more you can do. Trying to push the issue further will only make him run in the opposite direction. Don’t read into him trying to make you jealous. He is either trying to reaffirm that it is over or he is just bragging to seem cool. Start hanging out with other guys and keep hanging out with him at a minimum. The more you are around him, the harder it will be to get over him. If he is really meant to be yours, he will come back on his own when the time is right
