What can I do when I babysit for a first and short time?

Ask the parents of the child what their kid likes to do and what keeps them occupied. You can play age appropriate games with them. Lots of kids like to play outside on the swingset and outside type toys.

Before you start babysitting, find out all the rules of that specific household. Make sure there is a list of emergency numbers by the phone.

The American Red Cross offers Babysitting classes. Check your local chapter for times and dates. A child and infant CPR class is a good thing to take as well.

If the parents of the kids you babysit are impressed with you they will recommend you to their friends and neighbors and you can make a good amount of money babysitting. I bought my first car from the money I made babysitting the kids in my neighborhood.

dont ever take your eyes off those kids!!! I swear ther maniacs and will run off like bullets!!! cater to ther every need and if they cry holy crap bring a lot of tissues we need medical attention over here!!! jk lmao nah dont worry its not as bad as you think just play games with them cuddle with them cook a meal for them and give em lots of atention =)
