What can I do to make my boyfriends mom like me?

So I’ve been dating this guy for awhile and his mother cannot stand me. I try so hard to be sweet and polite every time shes around me, but even when I say hello she just smirks at me. I love her son and I dont know what to do. This is all I can think about. What she thinks of me is the most important thing to me. Whenever he calls me she always tells him to get off the phone even when its only been five minutes. I dress modestly, I am in student council, I am in all honors classes, I am in show choir and cheerleading. Im just a sweet girl whos fallen for her son and I just want her blessing. Please help!

I don’t think you should worry too much about what she thinks. What’s important is how your boyfriend feels about you. I had a boyfriend who’s mother was very overprotective and treated me like I wasn’t good enough for him. It wasn’t that she didn’t like me, I think maybe she didn’t think her son was ready for a relationship. Hang in there and don’t take her too seriously :)

Honestly she probably just doesn’t take you seriously because of your age, over time you will grow on her I’m sure. If she has absolutely no reason not to like you she’ll realize that eventually.

tbh I dont think there is anymore you can do looks like your trying really really hard she just seems a bit stuck up thats all and cant really let go of her son..mothers are like that with there sons in particular..and its not like you have to be around her all the time its your boyfriend so once you love him it doesnt really matter at the end of the day:) Dont worry about it too much honestly

try helping her with dinner or set the table help around the house that might help.

My bfs moms the same way with me…. I think it might be because we’re so young and she thinks we’re too serious. Either that or the fact that she caught us making out in her car. Twice. >.<
