What are they talkin about?

Ok so my homeroom teacher decided 2 giv uz “the talk” and she said we are not mentally ready for sex…what does that mean?? Because I have no clue///

Answer #1

Well, these days kids’ bodies are growing faster than their brains can mature. You can be 15 years old and be physically ready for sex, but mentally, you’re still a kid and you haven’t really understood how sex works and the dangers, risks, and social factors that come with it.

Answer #2

Not old enough or experienced enough to completely understand the ramifications involved - much better equipped later in life.

Answer #3

mysterywolf is right, it means that you/we (as I am 15 and have herd this many times aswell) don’t know enough about the subject to consider or act appropriately/seriously, but this is only due to lack of teaching/training. if kid we’re tought at a young age about it, then we wouldn’t have said issue, however parents/teachers dont want to have their kids having sex, so they fail to pass on the required knowledge, therefor you have a bunch of uneducated (on the subject) horny, curious kids running around and learning for them self’s (not necessarily a bad this, but it defeits the purpose of the educated individuals withholding the information.)

Answer #4

mentally means how you act
