Why dont you call around and find out what prices are like in your area? You havent posted your location so there’s no way to tell you what rent will be. Rent can be anywhere from 500-1000 (of course it can be a lot more). You really need to start trying to find a place 3-4 months before you’re ready to leave so you can sign a lease and be ready to go. Also depends on whether you are planning on moving in with someone (people who have a room to rent) or moving in with a room mate, or living alone. All of that will affect how much you have to pay for electricity, water, cable, internet etc… As for a cell phone, are you under your parents plan? Because if you can continue with their plan (and just pay them) it will be cheapest. Otherwise, this again boils down to how much text, talk etc you would like to have. There’s absolutely no good way to answer this question because there’s about a 1000 different variables. First off, are you planning on living alone or with someone? It generally is cheapest to try to find a room to rent. Usually it will come all inclusive of electricity, water, cable, internet etc… My friend was paying about 500 total. Then you have to look at food, which can range anywhere from 200-400 a month. Of course, are you getting a car? How are you going to be traveling? There’s gas, insurance, tags, etc…
