Weight Loss Im 14 And Am Not Satisfied.

Hi I am 5’3 or 5’4 im not exactly sure, But I am not satisfied with how “Big” I am able to run a mile with out complaining about it and not being to tired. I weigh around 135 and I dont care about the numbers I just dont want to look “Big” I had an idea of doing 3 sets of 50 sit ups and 3 sets of 50 push ups a day and then run around a 1/2 a mile to tighten the muscles is this a good idea? I have began doing the Sit up part but only 2 sets of 50 so far. Thanks I just want to know if That is a good idea and if you have any other hints for me :)I am also going out of the country where I plan to lose some weight by swimming and playing soccer. -unsatisfied kid hehe

Before trying to loose weight, check your BMI ( body mass index) to see if it’s in the normal range. Normal is between 20 and 25. Your overweight if it is over 25 and underweight if it is under 20. If you are in the normal range, GET OVER YOURSELF!!! Just accept who you are and embrace it. I am 15, 5,5 and weight 130lbs. I used to wish I was skinny, but I since realized that curvy girls look better and it’s to much work to maintain a gross, boney figure anyway. I think my BMI is like 21 or 22, so it’s all good. If you need to loose weight, eat abour 1200 calories a day and workout 30-60 minutes. Also, if you drink 3 cups of green tea a day, it’s supposed to increase your metabolism by 13 percent!

There’s no way to know whether this is a good idea or not just from what you say, but it seems to me that your workout could be too strenuous to start off with. It’s good that you’re starting off with only part of your workout, continue with that until it becomes relatively easy. To gain muscle, usually you do a few reps of a certain very high intensity exercise, however to build endurance you do many reps of a lighter intensity exercise. Keep that in mind and don’t push yourself too hard too early, or you will burn out or possibly injure yourself. Hope this helps :)

If you want to exercise, then exercise. But you are not “Big” as you put it. I am only 5’1” and I am 145 pounds. I personally want to lose a little weight because I used to only weight 112. I know I won;t get back to that, but I would be happy with 120 or 125. 135 pounds at 5’4” is not big at all. You also may have a lot of muscle. If you exercise, you may not look as “big”, but you will gain weight, as fat weights less than muscle. I hope this helps.
