Would Voldemort have gotten a new body if he had managed to get the Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone?

I’m plotting fanfiction and it struck me… The stone was supposed to grant him eternal life but realistically why would he want to spend eternity stuck to the back of Quirrell’s head? Any ideas or theories…? =]

He probably would’ve gotten eternal life and then when he was revived or whatever in the goblet of fire, the eternal life probably would’ve carried over to his new body. Tell me when you post your fanfic! I wanna read it :D

Yes, it even said it could give him a new body in the book. It was saying something like unicorns blood can keep him alive but with the stone he could create a body of his own. They were in the final stage trying to get the stone when they were in front of the mirror if you want to check me.

The eternal life would have carried over to his body whether he used the stone or other means, as his Horcruxes were still there and until the Horcruxes were all destroyed he was immortal, only when Nagini was decapitated by Neville was Lord Voldemort rendered mortal and killable
