I used to be relatively religious and feel connected to God, but right now I feel nothing. What should I do?
No, you don't "feel nothing." You feel something, just different from what you felt before. Even if that something seems mostly like a numbness - as though you're cut off from your feelings, without access - give some time and attention to "sensing into" what you're feeling now, and listen quietly to your own innerness. That's where you're most likely to learn about what happened to your prior feelings of connection, and find out whether and how it matters to you now. Feeling connected can come in many ways (as Ericson suggested). Whether that kind of connectedness has to do with G!d for you may depend more on how you choose to think about it.
Call upon the Lord. In prayer. Let him know that you feel lost. Have faith and wait on the Lord. He will guide you and bring you back into his presence.
Believe and reach out to Him. He will comfort you and guide you. The fact that you are troubled by this is already a testament to your faith so do not fear.
Psalm 57: "Be merciful to me oh God, be merciful unto me. for thy soul trusteth in The'. Yeah' in the shadow of thy wings shall I make my refuge til these calamities be overpast"

Going to church and connecting with others may help some, but it is not the end all. It is relationship with God. Reading the Bible and praying. Spend time with God in prayer. Take time to just sit before God and listen for his voice. He will speak to you. I learned awhile back that feeling is not everything. God will give you words to say and you do not have to feel anything to know God spoke to you. You know his words because you see his heart revealed to you in your life.
Put your energies into other things.
Why should feeling religious be the be all and end all of your existence??
I'm an athiest, but I find myself following the 10 commandments. I find myself helping others. I find myself contributing to good causes. I find myself doing good for humanity.
It give me satisfaction, and there is no "hole" or "something missing" in my life.
What's missing in your life is all of the above. Not some feeling.
Alright, I admitted making a rash judgement ok? I'm not happy with myself for doing so. And you DID ask about God and faith. I tried to answer that for you. I can see that arguing with people isn't going to accomplish anything here, so I no longer see a need to carry this on from my end. Best wishes with whatever it is you want to accomplish.
Goodness gracious, you are seeking the Lord and yet people are steering you away as if "they" know. The only thing they know for sure is what has worked (or hasn't) for them. You know as well as I do that the man who relies upon his own thoughts alone is foolish. But the man who asks God for wisdom shall recieve it.
I'm not on any pedestal. What I'm saying it that the man wants his faith back. Read his question again. He's asking what to do to feel connected to God "again". I'm trying to to specifically help him with that............what he is asking. But you guys are telling him to do something else. That's all I'm saying.
Excuse me, but look at the question, now look at who asked it. I was asking on guidance for life not necessarily guidance on feeling god again. And if you judge someone based off them being atheist, I don't think you truly know and spread god's love
Excuse me, not directed towards Hayyim, just read his again. and yours isn't all that bad except for one thing. I will be man enough to admit that when I seen the word athiest, I made a judgement.
Hop down off your religious pedestal. You're not giving any better advice than any of these other people and frankly I prefer their advice because it's not so self-righteous like yours.

Well, it is quite easy to see why he thought it was about finding faith and God once more, several of the answers attempted to answered that as well.
So far this is my favorite answer and did more for me spiritually than the others combined. Thank you
