What is a vacation, please?

If you are watching the TV series online that has not be endorsed by the tv channel, the person who is uploading the series must have gotten in strife with the law and when someone comes onto the site to try to watch any of the tv series, the message comes up “vacation”, it means the site is not showing the usual stuff as run have ran into trouble with authorities. I think the word “vacation” is a tongue in cheek from the owner of the site to say there is not activities currently and nothing is happening so they are away. Most site use “under construction” or other excuses and leave their site as it is without any current updates.

It’s another word for a holiday or another word for taking a break for a while. A day off work would be considered a vacation.

Where exactly have you heard or seen this? i can cough up over 15 sites where you can stream tv shows or watch live TV and none of em ever show vacation as a message…. The internet does not work like a shop… you can’t leave and pretend you’ve never been there….

Right, if you are using british english in your daily life vacation is a rare word, as the brits use holiday to describe a vacation….. as in “i’m going on holiday”
