My boyfriend turned him self in on nov. 1st to a federal prison and they sentenced him to 21 months but they took off 3 months for turning Himself in...so that leaves him to 18 mnths and he was wanting to get into some programs but they dnt have that in were hes at I just wanted to knw if he will do all that time or just 10 mnths or how does it wrk??? Plz help
Hi Erika, it depends on how your boyfriend behaves in prison. You should advise him to stay away from any trouble, get into any programms that they would let him in, start learning & reading whenever he's in his cell (because that counts good behavior). Maybe you can send him some books. If he hasn't finished high school yet, he should try to get on a program where he can graduate and get GED. He should also tell people that he is sorry for whatever got him into prison an that he is trying to become a better person.
According to the situation of your boyfriend to judge he should be in prison for how long time, to see him in a prison performance situation, performance good, may be released in advance.

You havent even stated what he did that caused him to go to jail. I'm no genius but hes probably going to do the 18 months.
Hard to say, behavior there may be a consideration.....hope he makes better/positive choices in the future
