Tie dying shirts.. how long? please help =]

ok so im going to the jonas brothers with my cousins on saturday… (its wednesday) we want to tie dye shirts and then decorate them after .. how long does the proscess of starting the tie dye to being able to wear the shirt take? thankss =] claire

Well dying them takes 5 minutes They take 3 hours to dry Them machine dry them which takes 35 minutes

so… 3 HOURS AND 45 MINUTES

It doesn’t take more than a half hour to prepare the shirts and dye them, but everything else takes some time. After the shirts are dry, leave them tied and place them in a bag to soak in the color overnight. Then take them out of the bag and rinse them out and remove the string/rubber bands. Let them air dry. Then you have to machine wash and dry them. Then they’re ready to wear, but if you’re gonna decorate them with any kind of puff paint or anything, that stuff takes like a day to fully dry.

The fastest thing would be to buy tie dyed t shirts and use iron-on decals and letters to decorate them, but if you get started soon, you should have plenty of time to make them the way you want.
