There really isn’t much you can do about the pain, it will go away in a few days. It really does hurt sometimes, I know I had them for a while as well. Most you can do is take some pain killers or baby teething gels. Perhaps some ice cream to numb your gums. If it is hurting from the metal scraping the side of your mouth, use the wax they give you to cover the metal.

I have braces too and springs in them -.- I know your pain! But what I did was just drink or eat cold things like Ice cream, Ice cubes, really cold drinks with lots of ice. I even took pain medicen and it helps a little bit. I use Orajel too it helps alot i can’t feel a thing. And take it with you wherever you go.

hey. i have had braces since january of 2011. im due to get them off january 30th 2013 which im really lookimg forward to:)!. anyway, what i do is, whenever i am due to go&get my braces tightened or colours changed i take painkillers (i take paracetomol) about 1 hour before i go because by the time that hour has went by, the painkiller will have kicked in ready to help with the pain. i aslo try to eat an ice-cream or if not then sook on an ice-cube simplfy because it numbs your mouth and then you cant feel pain!. its worth the pain though becaause your teeth will be really straight!. hope this helps:)!x
