Teen Pregnancies?

From my time being on here, I have found millions of questions with the words somewhere around this: “ I’m ( Above 10 below 18 ) and want a baby.”

Why is it that all these teens want some little pooper anyway? Babies are annoying. I don’t care if you studied the latest Cabbage-Patch or whatever childhood toy is the rage these days, they aren’t quiet and controllable like your dolls. They are loud as shit at times for no reason. They eat a lot. They poop, pee, and puke a lot. They need constant attention. They take a lot of money to afford one.

FunAdvice, I ask you this. Why are all these ignorant teens all bent on having a baby? I find it ridiculous.

have you ever thought of it this way… maybe they have people telling them they’re going to end up just like their mothers or some shit like that and their mothers had them at an early age, so as a result, they want to prove to everybody that they can be great moms as teens even though their mothers were not, maybe they are perfectly capable of taking care of a child and everyone is telling them they cant all the time or that they’ll be horrible mothers, maybe they have been the result of a teenage pregnancy or have witnessed one in the family or within friends, maybe they aren’t all that crazy seeing as some twelve year olds have been having babies for centuries in other countries and its not thought of as a bad thing, its encouraged. you don’t know what they’re thinking, so just stop trying to diagnose it. whatever the reason is is their own, and it is never identical to another, they will just learn the hard way and maybe for the strong ones it wont be so hard.

Answer #5

I agree with everything said so far…

But

If you take out the human element and social rules… they are doing what nature is telling them too… they are just too weak minded to think it through and get beyond that animalistic instinct to reproduce.

That’s my theory anyway.

Unfortunately, I see a very sad side to these young girls trying to have a baby. I feel that these are girls who feel very abandoned and unloved. They very much want someone to love them, and who they can love back. It is a human bonding that they are seeking. But these unfortunates are not going to find it with a baby. Oh, it IS there, but it takes a mature out look to see past the unpleasant parts and recognize that the bond is fulfilled only after a long struggle and a bumpy ride.

Answer #7

Ignorance is a big part of today’s world. Often, teens are immature and do not realize the responsibilities that taking care of a baby bring. Also, a lot of teenagers watch TV. Which is like false advertising because television shows can make teen pregnancy seem like not a big deal. In other words, teenagers can often be manipulated by what they see on TV and are therefore, ignorant to reality.

Answer #8

mainly because they dont understand how hard raising one actually is, how much of a responsibility it is and how much a babie can cost taking care of a baby isnt like taking care of a doll but because those kids are young they dont really understand how hard and how much work is involved like how hard it was for there mum to raise them, they wouldnt understand that now, at their age

Answer #9

I think it’s just a lack of maturity.Babies are cute and funny. And some can’t yet see past that.

Kittens and puppies are cute and funny too - and very young children often demand that they get one. I think its the same thing. The young children aren’t aware of the cost of food, the walks, the vet bills.

brian92 also makes a good point, celebrities on tv make it look like having a baby is easy, you dont see the birth, all the crying, pooping, puking, sleepless nights, ect. and the mother usually gets rid of her baby weight very quickly, making it seem like everything involved doesnt take much time

Answer #11

I dunno I dunno! God help me! What gets to me is this and people being stupid and asking “Am I pregnant?” and saying “ok I had sex on the 13th of such and such a month, I feel this, I feel that, am I pregnant?” and usually its some stupid 13 or14 year old girl.

Answer #12

personally i think that if u are in the right frame of mind at the time then u can raise a baby no bother and become as good if not better than a person in their 30th! I have 2 kids and im only 18 my youngest is 7 months and my oldest is 4 i was only 13 when i found out i was pregnant and tho very hard i got through it and i think i gave my kids a great life because they are happy and healthy so what more could you ask for! My advice to any other teen mom is if u feel in any way u can’t handle them then ask for help! Also anyone who offers to take them off for a few hours like ur mum or somebody of course then accept and use that time not to sleep or anything but just to do what u like to do like straighten your hair, watch tele, just relax and when the baby comes back you wil be very calm and also very excited to see and play with the child!
