Summer Job what are somethings I can do???
My mom is making me get a job next summer but theres nothin to do. I cant babysit because I have a short temper so I dont do good with kids! but im only 13(14 in July) so what are somethings I can do???
There really isn’t too much to do at 13, though, you will be a better, more appreciative, and more humble person when you grow up. Don’t be upset at your mom about it. Believe it or not, she’s doing YOU a favor.
Here are some ideas:
- Ask your mom if you can do something at her work place.
- Wash cars
- Maintain neighbor’s yards
- Walk neighbor’s dogs
- Become a dog poop cleaner (I’m totally NOT joking; I’d pay someone to do it)
- Tell your mom you’ll garage sale all of her junk and give her 20% of it.
- Bake sales (I’d buy fresh baked goods from neighborhood kids)
You can do a mixture of things to keep you busy. Just make some flyers and post it around the neighborhood!
Maybe at a local shop? You may not be able to actually WORK in the shop, but you could for example fold clothes or stuff.
Or at some office-you could be the “paper/coffee boy” (or girl). Then you’d have to make coffee for them, bring papers around, really simple stuff.
Thats all I got for now! Its pretty tough getting a job when you’re only 13. When I was 13/14 I was working at a daycare centre. It was pretty fun. BUT-I’m actually good with kids, so its different for me. Anyway, good luck!
