What do you think about the stuff going on in Wisconsin?

I don’t know much, but I think any person of any occupation should have the right to be a part of a union. I’m assuming that’s what you mean by stuff?

Do you mean The Case of the Disappearing Democrats? I think it was a pretty b@llsy thing to do, and I know they’re getting a lot of praise for it. Unfortunately, it’s only going to prolong the inevitable ruling; the Republicans are in the majority with 19 seats.

We had a similar thing happen in Texas. Texas normally redistricts every decade but in 2003 Tom DeLay didn’t like the way lines were drawn after the last census and pushed a mid-decade redistricting plan to gerrymander such that more Republican and fewer Democratic representatives would win. Democrats fled to Oklahoma to prevent a quorum and vote. In the end the Democrats were unsuccessful. Republicans got the districts set to their liking guaranteeing fewer districts had enough Democratic votes for them to win. and Tom DeLay went on to bigger and greater things, money laundering, taking “contribuitions” from Russian oil executives and appearing on Dancing with the Stars. While I don’t think the Democrats will ultimately win in Wisconsin it will delay an awful bill and draw national attention to it.
