Stress... is a teacher able to do that?

Okay, so I finally pass a test for a class I’m horrible at!! but yeah, I don’t get to retake the failed ones, but my teacher has me in trouble cause I HAVE to retake the one I just passed and I have to have two full pages of notes on the section… does this make sense to you? she think’s I’m a lier btw, so I have no clue what’s wrong. she’s never even talked to me and she told me that to my face.. is a teacher able to do that?

Answer #1

She is in the position of authority - in life you should choose your battles wisely - if her performance is wrong, report it to her supervisor…Take care !!

Answer #2

A teacher is allowed to suspect a student. but without any evidence of you possibly cheating, she can NOT make you retake the test. If she does, then demand to retake your failed tests. She will say no, so you say no to her request. Good luck.

Answer #3

You should send an email to eithe your guidance counselor or principal CLEARLY identifying the problem. Be careful though, if you’re one of those kids who gets “accused” of doing a lot of things (and receiving detentions for it) this could very well backfire.

Answer #4

Hmm, your teacher suspects that you cheated on the test? If you didn’t, I’d have a word with your Counselor or go straight to the Principal’s office and tell him. A teacher has authority to do whatever but if she’s doing a poor job, then go to the administration. That’s messed up if you didn’t cheat on a test you passed. Hmm, something is wrong with this picture. Teachers shouldn’t make you take a test that you did well on unless you cheated then, that’s different. Just get it over with then speak with the principal. Also, calling a student like you a liar? Hmm, this teacher isn’t very nice. I know, I wouldn’t want a professor at the college I attend to call me a liar. luckily, I’ve been honest enough. Take care!! and have your parents step in as well to help you clear this up.

Answer #5

Well, I still think its messed up. She shouldn’t be calling you a liar in the first place. I also think its messed up you had to retake the test.

Answer #6

What’s really meesed up is that your teacher 1) calls you a liar at all, let alone in front of the whole class. 2) if I were the teacher, I’d tell you to retake it as well, ‘because c’mon, it DOES look kinda suspicious (although I know you’d never do that, but your teacher…) if a student suddenly scores high marks on a test in a subject where she usually doesn’t do so well…WAIT, SHE DOESN’T THINK you CHEATED?! What’s THAT supposed to mean, that she’s making you re-take the test just to mess with you?! Jeez…And then 3) one of a teacher’s main goals is supposed to be to at least gain a cursory knowledge of their students. Best case scenario: students end up having an honorary aunt/ uncle, wost case scenario: …well, let’s not think about that…If your teacher barely even talks to you, well, they are FAILING TO PERFORM one of their responsabilities! If she uses the “Students can also initiate” excuse, just tell her:” it’s hard to initiate when you’re not even sure how to approach.” IT IS A TEACHER’S JOB TO MAKE FIRST CONTACT/ AQUENTENCE! Jeez…and I thought MY middle-school teachers were bad… Go with what everyone else is saying, and talk with the principal and guidence counselor AFTER the retake the test first and get the same or better, you prove that your test-taking is clean. Feel free tovshove that score in your teacher’s FACE (NOT literally) when you meet with the principal/ guidence councelor. But seriously…wtf is your teacher trying to do? Imo, this mess=teacher’s fault=fail. Make that EPIC fail.

Answer #7

No, she doesn’t think I cheated at all… but I passed it, and she want’s me to retake it anywayz!! but in the past, she has called me a liar to my face 3 times and one in front of the class. she didn’t point me out infront of the class, but she knew I knew what she was talking about. it’s horrible.:(

Answer #8

she called you a liar? and she’s making you re-take a test you already passed? thats really stupid. have your parents talk to your teacher about this and if that doesnt help tell your guidance councler or principal.
