It’s important to empty your mind of stress and worrisome thoughts, before going to bed. Fearing you may have another bad dream will only attract it to you and fear of falling back to sleep will only magnify it as well, once you do fall back to sleep. Try a regimen of postive mind reinforcement. Like taking a nice hot aromatic relaxing bath before bed…. reading some positive thought book material, and/or some yoga, Reiki, or other meditational excercises that will give you postive thought reinforcement and empty you mind of the negative and replace it with positve. Your diet at night as Pargo suggested can also be a factor. If none of this works and you continue to have bad dreams it could be time to talk to a professional, as it could be signs of depression or chemical imbalance. One thing I do believe personally, is we are not our mind. Our minds will focus on any emotion we feed it, if we fear something or worry, it will operate from that emotion…If we are at peace or feeling postive, it will operate from that emotion.
