How do I stay motivated?

I’m a junior in high school and recently I’ve been going downhill. My grades aren’t very good and it’s been hard for me to find the motivation to do my homework/classwork or study. I haven’t even started my senior project which is an extremely crucial part of high school and required to graduate. Are there any tips or words of encouragement that you guys can give me to help better myself and take action in completing these tasks? I feel like I’m falling apart and there are only a few months of school left. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Recognizing that you need to keep motivated and that you’re willing to try is the first step. There are only a few more months of school left so just push through it. Just think about how much better you will feel once you complete your project! Next time you go to school talk to one of your teachers about your project and some ideas or ask for help/guidance. It’ll put things into perspective. You should also get a calendar so you can write due dates down so nothing sneaks up on you.

in any work you just needs to push, first step you will take and other ones automatically gets started. One more thing if you do group study then this might not be an appropriate time to do it because in graduation it works but in school system it is wastage of time so try to sort out things on your own. Wish you good luck.

think about how close you are… your a junior this year and after you only have one more year to go and having that diploma is worth it most jobs now a days wont hire people unless they have it. just try to think about your future and how your gonna get there… for me personally i usually got good grades and did all my work n homework not cause i cared about doing it but cause my dad pushed me hed get wayyy mad if i had an F and he would always say how important it is to graduate and i guess what motivated me the most was the fact that none of my older siblings graduated i have 4 older siblings and 3 younger and i wanted to be a good role model for my younger siblings i wanted them to finish high school not drop out or come so close and just stop caring… think about how fair you have came and a year is nothing compared to how long its been..so just focus on getting your grades up cause ik you dont wanna have to make up those credits

I’m a junior also, but for me I just think about my future and where I wanna be. And how I’m so close to being Done with high school and I’ll be on my own. So just think about your dreams. Make them a reality! And good luck! I know you can do it!

high school is extremely easy. think of it like, if you cant get through high school, youre probably going no where in life. its harsh, but the truth. i personally dont believe in post secondary schooling, but high school is a must. it teaches you the basics of life, being social, doing things you dont want to do but should/have to do, time management, priority management, and dealing with people you dont want to be around. if you cant manage ALL of these with at least getting a passing grade in everything, you wont be able to be successful in life. To sum it up, step up and graduate, or be stuck a minumum wage slave for most of your life, or go on welfare. ps, i was extremely lazy in hs, i dont blame you. just make sure you get it done

Answer #6

It is good that you want to improve your grades. Get a study group together that can meet at the local library. Potential study buddies are in your classes. This is a great way to make friends and get your homework done.
