I think my son was molested

My son is 2 years old (turning 3 within the next month) He came to me 2 days ago and said that my husband’s uncle gave him a hiding on his bum. But i just thought that it is his imagination because he can get carried away a bit. But he mentioned this to my Mother yesterday again. So i sat down with him, and asked him, what did the uncle do? and he said that the uncle gave him a hiding. then i asked him where the uncle gave him a hiding then he said on his private part and it hurt. he actually just started with the pottie training and he was doing so well wearing his underpants and only sleeping with a nappy at night, but all of a sudden, he did not want to wear his underpants anymore and he is moody and he only wants to lie on his bed and watch cartoons. he is usually a child that likes playing outdoors, but he doesn’t want to anymore…

do you think he could have been molested?

Answer #1

I will say 2 things and you can do with them what you choose, first off anything is possible, secondly if you think that has happened its best to go to a pro, with kids that age its kinda hard to tell, I sure hope it didn’t happen, if it did be sure and get him proper help

Answer #2

Do not take a chance, examine him, look for bruising, or any damages on the private parts. If there is take him to a medical doctor and tell them. If the there is no physical damage, take him to a child psycholinguists to find out what really happened, if nothing happened, they should be able to tell you why he is saying these things. Child abuse is far too important to ignore, even a “maybe” should not be ignored.

Hmm. I sure hope not!! But if that is the case, see if there’s any damage to his private parts, and go to a professional. Because if he was molested it could cause some serious issues when he gets older if not brought up soon And in the mean time keep him away from that uncle. Hope I helped.
