Ok even though we won't be driving while we're in Paris, I was just wondering what side of the street and what side of the car do they drive on? I don't wanna go there and be like shocked when I realize they drive on one side and I was thinking the complete oppsite.
France is a right hand side driving country, an exception being the 350 metres (380 yards) of Avenue du Général Lemonnier in Paris, which connects the Pont Royal to the Rue de Rivoli, Trains are also driven on the left side provided their autonomous ways are used and there is usually no risk of confusion, and also because cars are forbidden to drive on the same lanes
In Europe, only the United Kingdom, Ireland, Malta, Cyprus and the Channel Islands Guernsey and Jersey drive on the left hand side and have steering wheels at the right hand side of the car.
All other European countries drive on the right hand side and have their steering wheels on the left hand side, just like the USA do.
and does that also go for the side of the car they sit on?
Yes
