Should a younger brother hit his older sister?

I’m 15. He’s 12. When he’s mad at me, he’s got to hit me. When I say hit, I mean PUNCH. He also throws things at me, kicks me, pulls my hair..yeah, things a 3 year old would freaking do. Should he hit me? I keep telling him that boys, not matter what age, should never hit a girl.

Answer #1

Don’t go to the police lol I saw someone say something about police, they would just say it’s normal for a younger brother to do that, probably. Tell your parents how much its bugging you, if he still does it don’t let it get to your head just keep taking his stuff every time he does it till he gets annoyed and stops.

Answer #2

There is NEVER a reason for your brother to hit you. Tell your parents, if they are already aware and are doing nothing, tell a teacher. If they say it is just sibling stuff, tell a cop.

Answer #3

utopia: the sister is not younger, the brother is, if I read the question right.

anyways, its just sibling rivalry; tell your brother how you feel and also tell your parents and eventually it will stop. My little brother (10) and my little sister (14) fight like that all the time, but they still love each other and love is usually behind the fighting.

Answer #4

The police have the authority to speak with the parents or to take further action. What her brother is doing is assault. It is NOT like you and your twin fighting. This is a young girl who has a brother with anger issues. Throwing a punch at your sister, who is three years younger, is NEVER to be tolerated. If her parents ignore the abuse, she should go to a teacher. If the teacher ignores her, she should call the police.

Answer #5

no, I don’t think he should!!! your right, guys should NEVER hit girls!!! I’m going through the same thing–except it’s a female 1-year old!!! I would grab his fist and tell him no, if he continues afterwards, PUNCH HIM IN THE FACE!!! If that doesn’t work, call Dr. Phil! kidding, also bout the punch him in the face! I would tell my parents/guardian/?. If they can’t stop him, no one can.

Answer #6

haha me and my brother are also 3 years apart and he also hits me a lot when he gets mad at me but it doesnt hurt thta bad its actually kinda funny I like push him away with my hand

Answer #7

If he has no reason to hit you, then it is wrong and your parents should stop him. But if you are deliberately trying to annoy him, then I think it is not that big of a deal.

I hate it when girls at my school think they can get away way anything just because of the “unwritten” rules of manners.

This one girl (girlfriend of a friend of mine) told, actually, more like ORDERED me to finish her homework for her while her and her friends could go have a smoke. (BTW the only reason she wasn’t finished is because she blew Sunday night partying)

When I said give me one good reason, she said “because I’m a lady”, then I said give me a real reason and she flipped out on me and threw herself at me (lol she is like 110 lbs and I am 329lbs)

I calmly picked her up (upside down) and was about to set her down when the principal comes around the corner.

He saw the whole thing and she got suspended for going after me and for smoking weed.(He also told me to carry her the whole way to his office because she was still flipping out, although I carried her right side up.

Woah people are takin this way to far. He just get so angry he has to let it out and if he’s angry at you then he will want to take out his anger by hitting you. My brother us 15 and I’m 13 and we get on really really well, but sometimes we have a fight and I have to say I get so angry I hit him or punch him. I seriously think I have anger problems. I see red and when I do the whole counting to ten thing it so doesn’t work…maybe I should post a question about this . Anyway if he hits you tell him not to and if he does it again hit him back NOT ON THE FACE

Answer #9

Hey. I have EXACTLY the same issue - I’m sixteen, he’s thirteen. He nearly broke my nose once when he kicked me in the face. My parent’s are sure he’ll grow out of it but he’s been like that all his life.

Basically, you have to learn to give him what he wants. Otherwise, he’ll only hurt you more. Stay well out of his way - if possible, when he gets in a mood, leave the house; go stay over with a friend.

Good luck.

Answer #10

not really but deal with it. you’ll get use to it later

Answer #11

If you hit him first then you need to suck it up and be prepared to get hit. If its just him, then you should slap his face 0_o

Answer #12

hey hey. I have the same thing. my brother is two years younger than me (12) and he really hurts me. he gets seriously agressive my family stoped him watchin wrestling. it really hurts, he rugby tackles me, punches, kicks, slaps, STRANGLED A COUPLE OF TIMES(and other no-breathing-for-me things) and almost stabed me with a fork!!! I am so lucky I screamed. although there was no1 in the house…

I feel left out because he loves my sister(16) and so does my family. they adore them both...

butits all diff for me. but my mate says its harder for the oldest and youngest!!! not really.

try and tell your parents again, and they could possibly make a quiet room or get a punch bag to cool down with..

hope I helped… xx

Answer #13

He might have a mental condition called implusive and aggressive behavior. My 13 year old brother has it. He also has Aspbergers Autism, speech delay, ADHD, and a couple of other things. Your brother may also just need some strict dicsipline.

Answer #14

Definitely wrong - tell your parents or responsible adult for action !!

Answer #15

First of all, he’s a guy, so fighting him is just signing your own defeat. Remember, he isn’t a scrawny little kid anymore, he’s now becoming a teenager with lots of attitude to give ya if you act up. In case he beats you for no reason, you make sure he pays.

The thing is not to try to bully him, but not let him bully you either. That in mind, the relationship will be just fine.

Answer #16

Honestly, I don’t freaking care if it’s “Sibling Rivalry”, I’ve seen crap like that, and then the sibling tries to kill the other. Source-Snapped >> Anyways, I don’t think it’s right. My brothers do that to me also, my brother who’s about to be 17, and my little brother who’s about to be 9 for christs sake…how the HELL is that right?

Answer #17

Like I learned…”you hit me I hit you back”

Answer #18

This happens to me tell your parents and try not to let it get to your head x

Answer #19

In all honesty he should hit you, however, it’s just plain old sibling rivalry.

My brother and I are twins and when we got in fights it was a boxing match. We never fought enough to draw blood, thankfully, but we did fight.

We eventually grew out of it but until we did it was pretty nasty fights sometimes.

One thing I can suggest is just try not to piss him off. Hard to do and sometimes hard to figure it out but if he’s just going off on you for no reason then he’s probably got a condition, but who knows.

And for utopia: What are the police going to do?

Answer #20
