How do you sell back college books purchased online?

I bought books online for college for the first time this past semester. Problem is that I don’t know what to do with them now.I don’t need to keep nor do I really want to. I bought them through a friend. He paid for them with his credit card and then I paid him back so I’m not sure which websites we all used. Anyone have any advice?

Are you sure you don’t need them? Even if you have studied all of the material covered in the books or if you have completed your study, you should keep those books for reference or just in case you need to check something in the future. If you’re really sure you don’t want them though, you could put up ads selling them on college noticeboards in the area of the school where the books would be needed. You could put an ad on an online auction site like Ebay, or you could contact your friends asking if anyone they know is studying that subject and do they need the textbooks. Unfortunately though you won’t be able to return them to the original site. Sometimes there are second hand textbook shops that will buy them off you and they sell them to other students. You could ask around your local community to see if there is one in your area.

Thanks. I need money and I know I don’t need the one for sure. I’m actually taking the lower levels of the subject area next semester. I really don’t know anyone in my major. Best bet is selling but I don’t have a credit card so.

If you’re still involved in the subject, even if it’s the lower levels, I really recommend keeping the book! It could help you a lot, and give you a guideline if you decide you enjoyed it and want to continue with the subject. But yeah if you need the money and need to sell it then your best bet would probably be Ebay. Or you could put up ads on a community noticeboard. If you need money though you could apply for a part time job when you’re not studying, or you could do some nannying/babysitting (I see on your profile you’re 26.. most parents would rather leave their kids with an adult than a 15 y/o girl lol) so put up ads for babysitting on a noticeboard too. You could try dog-walking as well. I know it’s kinda dumb but it’s still money- and it’s cash. Try finding a noticeboard at your local supermarket or gym. Those are good places to advertise.

some schools actually buy it from you. if your school does not then ebay i guess.
