Is Satan really as evil as everyone makes him...?

I’m not religious, in fact, I’m an atheist. But I’ve been wondering for a long time, is Satan really that bad? I honestly doubt it. Lucifer disobeyed God, right? But /why/? “He wanted to overthrow God” isn’t a good enough answer for me. And if you look at the Eleven Satanic Rules, it seems pretty legitimate and an agreeable thing people can live to. Plus, God killed more people than Satan just because they didn’t follow his every word. Satan had never directly killed a person nor told a lie, God did both. So is Satan really that bad?

Yes every bit as bad and then some. He is the great deceiver and liar. (you could be being deceived by him now…….)( your question)

Satan has told many lies. He so good at that he gets away with it with us. God does not lie.

I noticed you said that satan has never “directly” killed anyone. That’s key because he has killed many even if it was “indirectly” by decieving and “sucking them in” which in turn ends up with them dying by their own deeds.

satan has and will win many battles…………but in the end will lose along with those who follow him.

You have contradicted yourself by claiming to be an atheist….that means you don’t believe. Your question says that you do believe. Without God, there would be no satan.

Each and every one of us who believe struggle and battle with satan and God. The more we lean toward the side of God, the more battles we will win. The more we will be blessed and rewarded.

A Native American proverb: “inside of me are two dogs, one is good and the other is evil. they fight each other all the time. which one wins?………….the one that I feed the most”

Native Americans of old who had never seen a Bible, still believed. They called God “the great spirit”…………They knew that there was a God………and a devil.

Yes and no. Everyone is bad. If you actually look into satanism and learn what it’s about, it’s about making yourself a better you. It’s about making yourself your god basically.

thats not satanism.like onemandog sayd you are desive.and no not everyone is bad.everyone has done something bad but not everyone is bad.take off that mask.the point is that satan is bad.why? becouse of onemendog sayd.you dont question it.cuz he is like fire.and you dont need any reason to know why you should not put your hand on the fire.and the hoke making people better thing.its also not true.how ever if you refuse i recomend nkt asking question about the relivion cuz you dont belive in god.by the way the making yourself god is not called satanism.belive me im a mystical creature

Satan’s role is a little different in different Abrahamic religions. He is a fallen angel in all three but in Judaism he is more God’s adversary than the personification of evil. In Islam Satan’s sin is being unable to bow down to anyone except his beloved God. One point I make is if Satan is necessary for the rest of the story to play out how is he evil incarnate? Was it God’s plan for Adam and Eve to live in blissful ignorance in the Garden of Eden forever or did he plan on mankind venturing into the world and struggling with good and evil? Similarly if it was necessary for Judas to betray Jesus in order for him to die for our sins than is Judas bad? Did Jesus choose Judas as a disciple in the first place knowing that Judas would betray him? While Western religions tend to paint everything as all one thing or the other; black and white, good or evil, Eastern religions see everything as something that just is. Part of life is pain and to deny the bad is to deny life itself. One step toward enlightenment in their worldview is to stop dichotomizing everything. This is a little hard for Westerners to wrap their heads around but making a parallel here if Satan’s actions were part of God’s plan than is Satan evil?

real or not real this stupid question has no meaning.becouse the guy who ask it.doesnt belive eather.let the belivers be belivers and let the no beliver be no beliver.none of us actually know what happend. in heaven ok. its the belivers problem if they want to belive. its the none belivers porblem if he does not want to belive.

Satan delights in peoples hurt and death and pain. He is every bit as evil as he is made out to be and probably even worse than we can imagine. He lies to people every single day. He tempts people to do things that will end up causing them pain, he gets people to believe false things about themselves so he can hurt them and the people that love them. What God did wasn’t killing people directly, it was removing his protection from people and allowing satan to kill them. When people sin it hinders Gods ability to protect them and gives satan rights to them and all satan desires is power and to be worshiped, he wants to be God.
