When they ask what was your favorite part about working there? Well if they wanna hear an honest answer i will say that my favorite part was when i got paid with a check every week. I mean what the interviewer expect to listen to that question lol. Tell me what do you think? Thank you.
Depends on the company. Some places like yes men while others value employees willing to speak their mind.
On one interview I was taken on a tour of the data center along with several VPs and they were commenting that their main application was written in FORTRAN but was in the process of being rewritten in C. I pointed out that they were taking their application written in a 30 year old computer language and rewriting it in a 20 year old one. My interviewer was aghast that I would say that in front of the executives (probably one of them made the decision to use C) but I figured that if they couldn't take criticism I probably didn't want to work there. I got the job and have been there ever since.
Emma is right, Fito. You gotta play the game. If you make it known you were just there for the money, they will happily give this next job to someone else who (bs'd and ) said, "My favourite part was when I made more telephone calls/cooked more burgers/made more commission than anyone else.
This is about selling yourself. The interviewer is not coming to you and begging you to work for them. This is you, going to them, and saying, "Will you please hire me? You won't regret it. I'll be the best employee you ever had." So if you think about it from that standpoint, I think you will realize why your question cannot be answered that way.
That's the thing, they don't want to hear an honest answer. Honesty has no place in a job interview, sad but true. You have to lie and say something like "The fact that I was consistently challenged blablabla..."
If you really hate to lie, you could say something like "The people" and then elaborate "I made a lot of long lasting connections there" etc.
But remember that the interview is a game. You have to give them the answers they want to hear. Being honest will just get you passed up.
Honestly, for an interview purpose, it's a terrible answer, even if true, even if the potential new employer know that people just want the money. What they want to hear is positive feedback about the skills you learned, positive feedback about people you worked with, that you were motivated or motivated other people and enjoyed the job you had. And it's a chance to use what you did in your last job to relate to a potential new one.
I think if you have the experience, especially in a role that requires a certain level of expertise, then yes, being able and not being afraid to speak your mind is good. For a young person in my age group it can be different, although I have stood my ground when it comes to salary expectations. And I certainly voice my opinion on how things are working when i'm in a role.
That is true everyone wants that money coming in & needs it. But it's really why do you want to work at this workplace, "WHY DID YOU PICK THIS WORKPLACE OR STORE TO WORK AT, OUT OF ALL THE OTHER STORES & PLACES YOU COULD OF WORKED AT" & I'm sure you would have an answer.
