Why has our new puppy suddenly started ignoring my partner?
We got our puppy a week ago, he is a good dog but just today he has been blatantly ignoring my partner. We are wondering if it’s a dominance thing…? The puppy, Titan, is just coming up to 3 months old. Zac (my partner) is his master as opposed to myself but today the only person he would listen to is me. He won’t even look at Zac.
I heard a story once about a couple who got a puppy and the puppy started competing with the guy for his girlfriend. I’m wondering if this is the same kind of thing? I’d love any insight, I know many of you are dog and animal experts so any help would be much appreciated.
lol, i dunno about the competing for the girlfriend part but a long time ago when my grandma got a puppy, my cousin would give the puppy so much attention and love that the puppy would ignore all of us. it would actually start crying if anyone else carried him and he would only go to sleep with my cousin! maybe thats whats up?
It can’t be because until now, Zac’s been the only one giving him attention! I’ve been very careful as to not give the puppy too much attention cause I didn’t want that happening lol.
