Is Puerto Rico now a state of America?

lol! I am Boricua too. From Ponce. :) Yes, Puerto Rico is a commonwealth or territory of the USA. We get some benefits and are US citizens but can’t vote for President and have some limitations that US States have.

You are welcome. So this is what I think may happen. Congress is going to start working on it but not at first and then close to the next election they will see about making Puerto Rico a state so they can get the Puertorricans to vote for our next president. Right now, Puertorricans residing in the Island, can’t vote for president and since Puertorricans are mostly democrats, the next president will have another state with millions of residents that will vote for him.
