How can I prevent the airport from crushing and ruining my makeup and fragile accesories?

Im not alowed to have makeup in my hand luggage so it has to go in the suitcase but they throw your suitcases about and it makes me so angry as I aparently dont have any right to get some money for what they’ve broken.

Use one of those “hard” luggages, rather than the soft, cloth ones. Also use a hard makeup case - eg, wood or metal, rather than a flexible material. That’ll help ensure that your makeup doesn’t get damaged or broken while traveling.

Put your makeup and breakables in a towel, wrap them up, put the towel in a shoebox, pack it full of towel/paper/bubble-wrap.. anything to make it really solid and packed. Put the lid on, sellotape it on and put it in your suitcase. Put the box in the middle of all of your clothes so there is extra cushioning. That’s the best idea I have :/ It is annoying, I know, how they throw your suitcases around. I guess just don’t bring anything you don’t really need. If you are going on a summer holiday, I doubt you will need things like eyeshadow and foundation. Just bring mascara and eyeliner. Things like that save time and room. Have fun!

agreed with thedude, those hard make-up cases are what you need,you could also put make-up in a clutch/bag inside the case and jewelrey in a little zip lock or dust bag inside the case too so there not all rattling around, if anythings breakable, wrap it in bubblewrap because the case will most likley get thrown around a bit
