The other say my dad was talking to me about my workouts and he had asked me if I had upped the weights on my work outs or the repations and I asked why and he told me to have "muscle confusion". And, I totally got lost when he said that. So he tried to explain it to me and I acted like I knew what he meant. But, I really had no idea. Can anyone tell me what "muscle confusion" is? Thanks.
Muscle Confusion is a quick way to help strengthen your muscles but if done wrong can damage them. In my workout I do weight lifting. And if you do the same weights for longer than two or three weeks you will basically get used to the weight and it will be doing nothing. Now my personal trainer has me go up a weight every two weeks or so that way my body doesn't have time to adjust. You can also do this for walking and running and push-ups. Just look up the proper weekly adjustment to the exercise and listen to your body some pain in the morning is fine no pain is bad and excruiating is even worse. Also I would suggest taking in some potassium that helps with cramps.
lol im sure your father read the article or whatever wrong,,,, it's conTusion not confusion ;)
muscle contusion is simply direct trauma to the muscle tissue without damaging the skin (AKA bruises) it is the second most common injury in sports and can be fatal if the force was sufficient enough to rupture a large amount of muscle tissue, blood will pour into the cavity and clot, thus stopping the proper healing process which can lead to ossification (tissue turning to bone), fibrosis (unusable tissue where the muscle should be) and a few other complications.... so dont push yourself too hard :O
ah right sorry, it seems my medical studies did not include crap pooped out of some business mans ass, lol!
basically here is why its false and a proper explanation that is longer than FA would allow :D

im wondering how many people are in the hospital for ruptured tendons after this workout style :O
It's all about "changing it up" on your workouts so the muscles don't get used to the same thing all the time and just peak out. Confusing them with different things will use parts of them that really haven't been used much and you will get more definition that way.
I don't think you understood what I was talking about. I wasn't talking about any muscle injury. it's all good though. myabe someone will see this and understand what I mean and explain it to me. thanks for trying though.
That and it can help you get out of a psychological rut as well as a physiological one. In addition to your points I get bored of the same workout after 6 weeks or so.
wow sure its bullshit because you dont believe it, go ahead carry on herr profesor :O i wonder how much that personal trainer costs D:
The place you have cited is bullsh*t and shouldn't even be taken seriously.
Umm hes free. Not that it is any of your business. :-D
Thanks onemandog. this is also very helpful! :)
Not to mention tendons rip or tear not rupture.
