I mean now if a famous player say he is gay is a big news and i dont get it , because that is his personal business. I mean who cares what he does in his private life. I mean if the player instead of that would say i like peanut butter sandwiches nobody would even care. So that is why i dont understand this. What do you think?
I think people want to pick out the people who aren't "normal", or "traditional" and make them feel worthless, or not able to participate with the rest, until they change to fit "society's criteria. It's not fair, and that's why people are fighting for their rights, it's unfortunate that they have to fight for their basic given human rights because some people aren't "comfortable" with what other people do behind closed doors. To me, I feel whatever you choose to do with your life, go ahead, who I am to judge you, or even look down upon you. We're all equal, well at least we should be thought and treated equally.
I think media and society are choosing to focus on such an irrelevant detail in people's lives so they can distract from bigger and more meaningful issues. It's really an ignorant thing if you ask me. Yes, you have your religious beliefs, or just beliefs and life values but you're no perfect being.
EVERYONE religious or non religious has broken a commandment or whatever it's called, at least once or over 100 times. NO ONE in this world is perfect. Since birth you've been committing "sins". I hate seeing "if youre ____ you're going to hell" well so are you buddy. I'm pretty sure just about everyone in the world will be going to hell, if we're going to be critiquing and judging one another, and eating shellfish, etc.
(I probably make no sense but oh well) xD
Anything out of the norm or illegal is a scandal, especially for a public figure.
