What do you think of that photographer that didnt help the man on the subway?

I can not believe that the man took that picture like 50 times to this guy and didnt help him, i mean the first time i heard about it I thought it was only one picture. I always thought that the first reaction of any person in this situation would have been throw his camera away and run to help him, but instead taking him like 50 pictures, at least if he would not help him, he should not have taken him any picture. I would never want to see a guy jumping when the train is coming and even worse i could not take a picture to a guy that is about to die. What do you think? by the way he sold those pictures and made money about this guy.

The fact that the photographer has stated that he would not appear on CNN without being compensated speaks volumes. Even in the absence of that evidence of character (or lack thereof), I just don’t buy his story. Not one bit. I think that an editor with even a shred of basic human dignity should have realized that posting the photographer’s picture on the front page of the NY Post newspaper was beyond inappropriate.

It’s just all really sad and disturbing to me.

Okay, the man took pictures instead of helping … that’s a fair enough statement, but you can’t stop there.

There must have been dozens - maybe many more - of other people on that platform and nobody tried to help. Why are we focusing on only one person? The time of the Good Samaritan seems to have passed us by, when a group of people would rather stand by and watch a man be killed than take the initiative to try and save his life.
