Convince my parents for a dog

ok

so I REALLY want a pet dog but my parents think its too much responibility and weve never had any perts before

and im trying to convince them to gettin one but what should I say?

whats one of the easiest dogs to take care of?

how much time will it take 4 like bathroom trraining?

about the cost per year for shots and all?

Answer #1

It is too much responsibility for you. Your parents would know because they know you best. If they say you aren’t responsible enough you aren’t. Plus you act like a ten year old, I’d have to say I agree with them. Let the dogs go to better homes than the one you would give to it.

Answer #2

tell your parents that big dogs can be house protectors(I have four dogs at my house, they work together and actually ALERT me when there is someone outside) consider getting a dog that doesn’t shed a whole lot- it will save your furniture. get a dog around 1 or 2 years old that has been house broken- no dirty puppy training.

well all dogs come will a lot of work and plus you’ve never had a pet so it would be tougher im going to say go for a small dog usually go for a dog that is house trained already. thats the best thing where are you from? because dog prices depend on countries. funmail me if you want to know more.xx.

Answer #5

a small dog will probably easier, although they need exercise, its not as much as a big dog. Also mongrels (crossbreeds) and less vulnerable to the illnesses which are in pedigree’s, and are also a lot cheaper to buy.

Answer #6

DO NOT start with a fish or a hamster because they seriously DIE so quickly and they are a lot harder to take care of than dogs from what I see. That will just make you appear irresponsible even though you did all you can.

If you go to school, don’t get small dogs. They hate being left alone for long and will cry all the time since they get attached to 1 or 2 people in the household very easily. I think you should get a retriever or lab. they’re very friendly, but remember that all puppies are destructive especially medium size - big ones and will tear up your house if you don’t be careful.

Dogs are also very pricey. If anything is wrong with them, you need to be prepared for paying hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars.

Answer #7

ok well fi your parents dont think your responcible enouf start with somehting like a hamster and show your responcible and small dogs are usaly easyer to take care of and if you get a dog keep evryting of value out of reach my dog chewed up my memorycard for my game cube when she was a puppy now shes about 3 and she stills steels stuff of the counter

Answer #8

To try and convince your parents maybe you could ask if you could start with a fish or a hamster or something and show them how well you can take care of it.

As for getting a dog, you should definitely adopt one from a humane society or the pound. I think they come with their shots but I could be wrong. Pet stores are way overpriced and you should get one from the pound to save a dog from being put to sleep. ;)

Answer #9

you must first try to keep a fish or a bird. That will convince your parents that you can really adopt a pet. However you must not ask help if your parents hate pets (mine do…lol!) they may think that you can’t do it by yourself and you may do the same if you buy a puppy..if that’s done, maybe your parents will gree. And once you got a CUTIE pup, then take utmost care of it or else it may grow naughty and your parents may kick it right out of the gate. If that did not work out, here is the fake formula ;) just try to sit in front of the tv or computer for a LOOONG time…and your parents will get worried about your health. And when they ask you switch that off, you can say “ if I had a puppy, then I could spend hours playing with is ( sigh)”
