Can I petition for a couple of students to be expelled (read more)?

there were three freshmen at my highschool who pinned down a student and urinated on his face for being gay. i am completely serious. the school suspended them each for ten days, but i dont think this is even close to enough. i want them expelled. i (among other students) are uncomfortable even going to school with these boys. can i make a petition for their expulsion? if i do, how many signatures are necessary?

if possible it seems like it would be something you would have to speak to a member of your local school board if you are serious about it try getting parents involved and have them contact members of the local school board

knowing high schools, they probably have a punishment system that is set in stone. You can petition for expulsion but the school might not go after it once a punishment is handed out. Its almost like double jeopardy in court. Once tried for one crime, you cannot be tried again. Once punished… you probably can’t go and punish again, as terrible as what they did. Its only fair that you should respect their punishment. They have parents too. You want some real advice. Forgive them, or let it go. Theres enough hate in the world coming from people like this and they do terrible things yeah. But don’t put your self on their level by holding a grudge against them.

That’s horrific. I know in scotland it’s nearly impossible to get expelled i don’t know what it’s like where you are. I would maybe speak to someone in your school who deals with punishment or someone on your school board
