Why do some people think that rock/metal bands are satanic when they're really not?

Because they “come off” as Satanic. They sing about it, and whatnot, and butthurt Christians hate that.

Satanic means “of or having to do with Satan.” In that sense. All rock bands are not satanic. The very few that think that; are moronic for thinking so. There are some purposefully satanic bands around that use satanic lyrics in their music. And they may it obvious. Christians are not butt hurt over the fact that bands choose to worship satan. Only little naive know it all sixteen year old’s who haven’t done their research on the matter will give you immature answers.

Some people are reactionary, some music is open to interpretation. Sometimes that’s a volatile combination…

some really are that and other bands that are not are using the same “language” the same cloths, the same image the same symbols even. and are not taking a stand against it. just what i am thinking anyway

Well lets say that some bands are not satanic but the have the lyrics of a satanic band but “just for show” what different dose it make? I understand its a big different but you as the listener are still getting all the bad influence from the lyrics.

are you a christian? there are alot of christian metalbands that sounds good and have lyrics that build you up. ask if you want some names :D

that has to do with the music and the words the way they dress the way they talk or even the way they come off to people or the church can have a big influence.

nah, i’m not christian mate…i only asked that question because i was interested in it. but are they actually good?
