Why do some people take EVERYONE else's problems on themselves. what good does that do them?

Is there any way to convince them that not everyone wants help with their problems? does anyone know someone like this?

Answer #1

i definately know ppl like that! and it just gets sooo annoying because they r nosey and ugh i just dont like that!!! but i would just tell them straight up… not everyone wants help with their problems and u can at least ask them if they want help.

hope that helped.D

Helping others with their problems without being asked, is a way for them to not have to look at their own pile of cr*p…..and work their own problems out.

Ther just help full I do it if someone gets dumped after I talk to em or even if I just know them I always think I had somthin to do with it

Answer #4

i guess it gives them a good feeling that they are helping those people(everyone else) but in the same time they are ignoring theyre own problems ,

Ever think for a second that maybe they do it just because they have a good heart & want to help because they know what it is like to have been in that particular situation & have no one to help them out…so maybe just maybe they are trying to be the one that offers the help so others dont feel alone but know that they are willing to do what ever & whenever to help them out…just because they can…not because they have to!?

I am not saying they might not have an ulterior motive…like trying to hide from their own problems, maybe they are & maybe they are trying to forget about their problems because they just realize that maybe someone else’s problems might just be a bit more important or in need of more support the their own problems!

Instead of viewing it in a negative way look at it in a positive way…they are trying to help you so let them or dont…just be polite & say i know you mean well, i know you just want to help me out, but at this point I really cant deal with the help…I need time to process this whole thing & I appreciate the effort…thank you!(sometimes, that is all it takes…)

hope this helped!

It a great gift to help, but it can become very annoying if that is all the person wants to do. Ask that person why do they want to help. It could be a couple of reasons why one does that. They felt at sometime they did something wrong and want to make up for that. They were influenced by Christianity, “it’s better to help then give.” But they became fixed on it, so have the need to help. You can also be very direct with a question and ask, “did someone make you wrong for helping?” , so have to prove it’s right.

some people like being helpful, or as phranni said, like to help people when instead they theselves coul do with soem help. if you know someone like this politley tell them that you dont need there help and can sort your problems out yourself, tell them that not everyone needs/ants help, and maybe offer to help them if they have any preblems

Answer #8

As one of those people I would just like to say, I would love to be able to stop caring about other peoples problems but its a key characteristic of my personality and I find that helping other peoples problems helps you to subconciously solve your own :)

I concur. If someone is being interfering, they’re probably trying to avoid their own issues.

Answer #11

i agree

Answer #12

Wow…some of us are just nice enough that we want to help others in need. We put our problems aside to help you or whoever we can.

Is that such a horrible thing to do?

It shows how good of a heart someone has to put their lives aside to make someone elses better. Did you ever think of those possibilities? Probably not. And yes I know someone like that…me. A good person will go out of their way to help someone. No matter what the problem is.

Answer #13

Some may ignore their problems by doing this, but others put their problems aside to help another in need, then tend to their own problems afterward.

Answer #14

I agree 100 % But apparently some people aren’t worth helping it would seem.

Answer #15

well, if they care about you then they will tend to do that, also if the person just has a big heart

Answer #16

yeh i agree with francessca cus im the same way a it helps me t help everyone else

Answer #17

it’s just the way people are.. if you don’t want help from someone, just tell them you don’t, if their REALLY trying to help you out, they’ll lay off.
