Why do people not like Mitt Romney, either?

So i don’t really follow the political stuff or any of that, and i get that people don’t like Obama and now they don’t like Mitt Romney either? Why?, what has he done do far to make people not like him?

Answer #1

People don’t like politics.

Answer #2

Good answer.

Answer #3

There’s a lot of reasons why some don’t like him:

He’s a Mormon considered by some to be a cult and not a religion. He’s a Republican (seriously, some people do not like republicans just cause they’re republican) He wants to cut taxes for the upper class and let it trickle down. And he has an iffy stance on women’s rights.

Those are just a few though, there’s probably a few more.

Answer #4

I don’t trust Romney, he remindes me of the people you see on American Greed. I don’t think he cares about the middle class enough to help us and I don’t think he’s genuine.

Answer #5

Oh and I don’t like how he wants to control women’s health care and kick young adults off of their family’s health care plans.

Answer #6

And can you imagine what would happen foreign wise if he was voted into office. I’m sure he would get us blown up or into another war. I don’t think many other nations would like Romney, most of them favor Obama.

Answer #7

You’ve convinced me to be on Obamas side.

Answer #8

Bill CLinton would be so proud. :)

Answer #9

Romney said that the middle class are people that make over 250,000 a year. my parents combined arent even close to that and we live comfortable. and if your watching tv hes just being rude to both the president and Jim. i know hes going against Obama but he should still respect him. and i trust obama because he kept us out of a recession. Romeny also pays less in percentage than my parents do! and he makes 13 million dollars a year. please tell me where the logic is?!

Answer #10

less percentage in taxes*

Answer #11

Because he wants to give tax cuts to the rich, which is so idiotic! It doesn’t make sense! He plans on doing the same exact sh!t that Bush did, which is going bring us right back to the mess Bush created. So stupid! Doing the same thing and expecting different outcomes. And I agree with Mig, his women’s rights stance is iffy.

I don’t like Mitt Romney. All politicians can be snakes, but I think Mitt Romney is just another Bush.

Answer #12

We’re still in the recession, just wanted to correct you on that.

Answer #13

Well I am a female, middle class college students who cares about the environment, rights to my body, and basic rights to the LGBT community. So, by default I just do NOT like him. I value different things than he does, so I won’t be voting for him.

Answer #14

He’s ignorant and a follower.

Answer #15

Someone fill me in?

Answer #16

Who is he following?

Answer #17

Most all the answers given are what people have heard liberals say about him, so that people will think he’s worse than Obama (mostly lies). But, the bottom line is that half the country is for Obama and half for Romney. I kind of like what one comedian said, “They’re both full of crap.”

Answer #18

Romney comes off as really arrogant, and his motives seem questionable. He made money by crushing businesses and putting thousands of people out of work. He obviously paid very little in taxes, and his main focus seems to consist entirely of making the wealthy even wealthier at the cost of the middle class. And not to mention he flip-flops on almost every issue. It’s almost funny how much he contradicts himself.

Answer #19

Mitt Romney is the only one in the race who is Pro-America…..gets my vote !!

Answer #20

I think we are screwed either way. They are both politicians…. I feel Obama has screwed most everything up he can, lets give the other guy a chance.

The fact Romney is a businessman and “crushed” other business to stay ahead really doesn’t count against him for me. I respect businessmen for the most part, and I think a businessman will help us get our national debt under control. Obama is spending money like a drunken sailor on shore leave. I hoping Romney will stop giving so many gov’t handouts and force people to earn their own money. I doubt it will happen, but I know it won’t happen with Obama. Trying to tax us rich isn’t going to help, and trying to get enough money from taxes to pay for everything from the “rich” isn’t going to cut it. Only about 1% people in the United States makes over $1 million a year. So how is taxing that 1% going to fix it for the other 99%? I see the point of tax cuts for the rich because they have the money to make more jobs, which will over all get the country more tax income. And no I’m not one of the “rich”. I make about $29K a year gross.

Personally I’m in favor of a flat tax for everyone, with no exceptions period. No “Earned Income Tax Credit” no counting your interest from loans against taxes. Just a flat percentage income tax across the board regardless of how much money you make. It would also make less work for the IRS so that more of the income tax can to towards helping the country. As it is somewhere around ~50% of the income tax money just goes to collecting and distributing the the money.

But as I said before they are both politicians and I think we are screwed either way, I just think Romney will screw us less.

Answer #21

Romney & Ryan ticket reminds me of the Bush Jr/Chaney ticket. I don’t believe the US can handle another replica of the same ole rich good ole boys with arrogant internaltional attitudes. Besides the way the Republican House has behaved the past 4 years. Even my BIL and other family of previously devout Republicans are switching their votes this year. Even they are disgusted with them. And that I thought would NEVER happen.

Answer #22

But I have to add I agree with Nap….People are disgusted with politicians putting their own interests ahead of the countries. And that exists for both sides just about equally.

Answer #23
