I don't really view it as a bad thing and I'm actually planning on attending/applying for community college next year, but so many people are telling me that it's a waste of time. What do you guys think? Have you experienced it? Pros/cons? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Community college is great, especially for getting your pre-requisite courses done. Why pay three times as much money to get your general education credits when you can get the same exact thing at a community college for much cheaper? I went to a community college to get a few of my pre-reqs done and then I transfered to a university to start on my major. You just need to make sure that the credits transfer over. People look down on community colleges because they don't offer as many courses and they're smaller. They're not as "prestigious" as big universities, but it's really just what you make of your education. It's NOT a waste of time! you're saving money! You don't have to graduate from there by the way so just tell everyone to lay off it and stop being snobs e_e
