Why don't parents teach their children that no one really knows where we go when we die?

Answer #1

For mine, that would be a lie…As a Christian saved by God’s grace through Jesus Christ, I have Heaven to look forward to….they know and believe John 3:16…an individual choice

Answer #2

I’m sure there are parents who do. There’s like 6 billion people on the planet, there’s bound to be many kids taught and brought up like that. But honestly, why even take the time to ask about something so insignificant.

Answer #3

Just curious what reasons would be for doing so or not

Answer #4

I’m not sure, but I think it really just depends on their religion & what they believe.

Answer #5

I tell my daughter that I don’t think there is any afterlife but admit that we really have no way of knowing. Keep in mind that a lot of people worship a God who threatens to torture them for eternity for doubting. If they fear their kids would be tortured for eternity if they don’t believe you can bet that they would do everything in their power to convince their kids. Personally I don’t think any god who has to use terrorism to keep believers in line is worthy of being worshiped.

Answer #6

Well, i’m a christian so when i do have children, I will teach them that there’s a place called Heaven to go to after you die & that we will all meet up there someday. It’s better to teach your children there is a place to go rather than them being left in the unknown in my opinion.

Answer #7

I believe in a God who is the very definition of ‘Pure’…as it says in His Word, He hates ‘sin’ not people…He can’t even look upon sin…thus when man sinned He LOVED mankind enough to provide a way/gift that mankind sins could be covered…that being covered by the blood of Jesus on the Cross…free offer of Salvation (John 3:16) where sin is ‘remembered no more’…could’ve turned His back…Didn’t …so every persons option to recieve or not recieve
