My mom is really headstrong and believes that everything (mostly) she does and says is right. It's infuriating sometimes because then she won't listen to me. She made me participate in a swim team and although i do like swimming, my swim coach is really strict and i can't always keep up with the team. I've given up on some things before that my mom made me take and she got angry at me those times when i told her i wanted to quit. Should i even give up on the swim team? If so, how can i make sure my mom won't get super angry?
My parents were like that, exactly like that. I was forced into ballet, amongst many other activities, but I hated ballet the most. In the end you've just got to suck it up and tell her respectibly. Explain to her that you understand she wants you to do this for your own good but that it just is not your thing. Just explain you really appreciate her getting you to try this, but it just is something you cannot do.
But first, do you actually want to quit? Or is it just because your coach is tough? Think of the feeling of accomplishment you might or might not receive if you stick this out. I believe with plenty of training and hardwork, pretty much anyone can achieve something. So, if it's something you absolutely don't want, then quit, but if you actually do enjoy it and feel that you might benefit from this, stay and work hard.

Just tell her you need to make YOUR OWN decisions. She probably makes you participate in things because she regrets not doing them herself when she was young. Tell her that if everything is decided for you now you're not going to be able to make the right decisions in the future because you never got the chance to learn from making dumb ones now.
Well If you hate it that much then just tell her you wanna quite It's better than going there & being tortured, but if you like it & have friends just stay but idk maybe you should just tell her in a really nice way & tell her what activities you would wanna do if any. Goodluck (:
I would try and stick up with it for a couple more weeks, throughtout that think about if you really wanna quit and if you do then go ahead, it isnt fair if shes making you do things you do not like.. she may get angry but thats her problem not yours. good luck x -J
